Born and raised in the Reno area I am a native Nevadan. I love to do MMA, yoga, read, hike, volunteer and go for long walks. I also am a single mom of two children. My son is a college graduate and my daughter is a very intelligent 18 year old, both are athletes. My previous career paths were Research, Mental Health and Law Enforcement. I worked for the State of Nevada for 9 years before I medically retired. My children and I definitely know what it is like to struggle and not qualify for assistance. 

While volunteering with our local soup kitchen my daughter noticed some children, who came in often, with clothing that was to small. She decided to save her allowance to purchase items for these children. Blessed Positivity was formed from ideas, such as hers, on how we could help others in our community. Our system is allowing children to "fall through the cracks" and we do not want this to happen any longer. We are on a mission to fill this gap. There are great programs that assist the homeless youth in our area, such as the Children in Transition Program. There were not, however, any programs to help the working poor & the other families struggling financially until we opened our doors. Currently we have helped over 4000 children with various things. 


I will continue to help in every way possible and am very passionate about our mission.
